Apple-raspberry crumble

Spread the love

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 450 g apples (cooking apples)
  • 450 g raspberries
  • 115 g sugar
  • 4 tbsp water
  • 175 g flour, whole grain
  • 9 tbsp butter
  • 85 g sugar
  • 3 tsp oat flakes
  • 1 tsp gingerbread spice
  • e.g. cream or yogurt or vanilla sauce

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

typical English dessert

Preheat the oven to 190°C. Peel the apples, then quarter and core them. Then thinly slice them and place them in a baking dish (or divide them between 6 ovenproof bowls). Add the raspberries, stir in the sugar, and pour in the water. Put the flour for the crumble in a bowl and rub in the butter with your fingertips until a fine crumble forms. Then mix in the sugar, oats, and gingerbread spice. Spread the crumble evenly over the prepared fruit mixture and press down lightly with a fork. Place the crumble in the baking dish (or bowls) on a baking sheet. Place on the middle rack of the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, until the crumble is golden brown. Enjoy the finished crumble with cream, yogurt, vanilla sauce, or on its own. My tip: Use blackberries or bananas instead of the raspberries.
