Greek-style meat strudel

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 250 g minced beef
  • 1 small bell pepper(s)
  • 3 tomatoes
  • 100 g feta cheese
  • 1 pack of puff pastry, ready-made
  • 1 onion(s)
  • Thyme
  • salt and pepper
  • olive oil
  • oregano
  • Cinnamon

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Peel the onion, dice it finely, and sauté it in olive oil. Add the minced meat and brown it. Dice the bell pepper. Briefly blanch the tomatoes, peel and deseed them, and also dice them finely. Add both vegetables to the meat and sauté until most of the liquid has evaporated. Season with thyme and oregano and add salt, pepper, and a pinch of cinnamon to taste. Roll out the finished puff pastry, spread the meat filling and crumbled feta cheese in the center of the dough, fold it in, and brush with cold water. Bake the strudel at just under 200°C for about 20 minutes. Serve with tzatziki.
