Meat and feta rolls

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 350 g minced meat, mixed
  • ½ onion(s), diced
  • 2 clove(s) garlic, chopped
  • 2 slices of toast bread, cut into small cubes
  • 60 ml milk
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 tbsp parsley
  • 1 tsp marjoram
  • ½ red bell pepper(s), very finely chopped
  • 150 g feta cheese, crushed
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • salt and pepper
  • Oil or clarified butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Sauté the finely chopped onion and garlic in oil, remove from the heat, and let cool. Pour milk over the bread cubes and let stand. After a while, squeeze out the excess water, knead with the meat, egg, onion mixture, parsley, and marjoram, and season with salt and pepper. Cover and let rest in a cool place for about 15 minutes. Mix the bell pepper pieces and crushed feta cheese thoroughly with the meat mixture and season with the crushed garlic and a little pepper. Form the mixture into thumb-thick rolls, flatten with moistened hands, coat in flour, and fry all over in a pan with hot oil! Highly recommended: Serve with rice and tomato salad!
