Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 6 sheets of puff pastry
  • 4 tbsp oil
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • ½ onion(s)
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 200 g sheep’s cheese
  • 200 g spinach (if desired)
  • salt and pepper
  • nutmeg
  • some milk

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Puff pastry base with feta cheese

Crumble the feta cheese, blanch the spinach (if you have any), whisk the egg yolk and milk, and mix together the oil, crushed garlic clove, chopped onion, and seasoning. Place three puff pastry sheets on top of each other on the baking paper, brush them with a little oil mixture, then generously spread the feta cheese (and spinach, if desired) on top. Cover with the remaining three puff pastry sheets and brush with the egg yolk mixture. Bake at 180°C for about 45 minutes.
