Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 250 g flour
- ¼ tsp salt
- 125 ml water
- 2 eggs
- poppy
- sugar and cinnamon
- Butter, liquid

sweet spaetzle
Mix flour, water, eggs, and salt into a spaetzle dough. Cook the spaetzle in plain water. No salt water. Toast the finished spaetzle in melted butter. Add the poppy seeds, sweeten with sugar and cinnamon, and toast briefly. Adjust the amount of poppy seeds and sugar and cinnamon to taste. Some people like more poppy seeds, others less. Serve hot.
