Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

A special sauce for grilled and fried meat dishes that you can easily make yourself.

Combine all ingredients in a 1.5-liter saucepan. Heat the mixture over moderate heat while stirring and simmer uncovered for 10 minutes while stirring (bubbling). Finally, let it cool slightly and season to taste with a little more liquid smoke, honey, and salt, if desired. Use only a few drops of the liquid smoke. Adjust the saltiness at the end, as the liquid smoke is very salty. Remove the required amount immediately (approx. 4-6 tablespoons per person). Transfer the remainder to a sterile, airtight container, cover with a little sunflower oil, and store in the refrigerator. Alternatively, freeze in portions.
