Deep Fried Oreos
Chill the Oreos in the refrigerator for about 4 hours beforehand. Prepare the pancake batter. It should be quite thick so that it sticks well to the Oreos. Heat the oil in a deep fryer (approx. 180°C if adjustable). If you don’t have a deep fryer, pour enough oil into a pan and heat it. Remove the Oreos from the refrigerator, dip them in the batter, and then add them to the oil. Make sure the Oreos don’t stick together. Turn them over in the pan once. Remove them from the oil after about 1.5 minutes and dust with powdered sugar. Since this recipe is from the USA, it is very sweet and is given in cups. *For the ready-made mix, additional ingredients may be needed, depending on the product.
