Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 8 large potatoes (firm or floury)
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 8 sprigs rosemary (small branches)
  • 8 tsp olive oil
  • Salt, coarse
  • Black pepper, freshly ground

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

Brush the eight potatoes clean under running water. Cut the aluminum foil into eight hand-width strips. Drizzle each with a teaspoon of olive oil and then spread evenly with a pastry brush. Place half a crushed garlic clove on each. Sprinkle coarse salt and freshly ground pepper on the foil. Place the washed rosemary sprig in the center. Place the potato on top and wrap tightly in the aluminum foil. Place in a preheated oven at 200°C for one hour. In the summer, you can also place it in the ashes for a while while grilling.
