Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 2 large fish fillets (matjes fillets)
- 200 g cheese (young Gouda)
- 250 g potatoes, boiled
- 1 gherkin(s)
- 1 onion(s)
- 1 tomato(s)
- 1 apple
- 1 tbsp capers
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- 1 tsp mustard, hot
- 3 tbsp oil
- salt and pepper
- 1 tbsp parsley, finely chopped
- Sugar
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes
Dice the herring (moisten with water if necessary), Gouda cheese, potatoes, cucumber, onion, and tomatoes, and chop the capers. Mix everything together. Prepare a marinade from the remaining ingredients, pour it over the salad, and let it marinate well. Sprinkle with parsley before serving.
