Sweet potato wedges

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 sweet potatoes, or 600 g small potatoes
  • 5 tbsp oil
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 3 tbsp maple syrup

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

Can be prepared with sweet potatoes or conventional potatoes

Preheat the oven to 210°C (190°C fan-assisted oven). Scrub the potatoes well, then cut them lengthwise into quarters or eighths with the skin on. Peel the sweet potatoes and cut them into wedges. Toss the potato pieces well in the oil and place them on a baking sheet. Mix the sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over the potatoes. Drizzle with maple syrup. Bake in the oven for about 1 hour, turning them several times and brushing with oil. Tip: Instead of sugar, the potatoes can also be coated with a mixture of salt, pepper, paprika, chili, and garlic.
