Ingredients for 64 servings:

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup white sugar
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla sugar
  • 2 ½ cups flour
  • 2 cup(s) chocolate (mini Smarties)

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour

Preheat the oven to 190°C. Sift the flour into a bowl. Beat the finely chopped butter until soft. Add the brown and white sugar and baking soda and beat until lightly browned. Add the eggs and vanilla sugar and beat in. Knead half of the flour into the dough until well blended. Using a large spoon (not a mixer), stir in the remaining flour and the mini Smarties until the dough is ready. Take a slightly heaped tablespoon of dough for each cookie and place it on a baking tray. Important: Leave about 5 cm between the individual cookies, as they tend to spread. Bake for about 8 to 10 minutes. Allow to cool. This process requires baking using several baking trays and may require several baking trays in a row. This is a large recipe.
