Chocolate Cherry Muffins

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 300 g morello cherries
  • 100 g chocolate
  • 100 g almond(s), ground
  • 200 g flour
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 250 g butter
  • 180 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 tbsp rum (alternatively a few drops of rum essence)
  • 4 eggs

Preheat the oven to 190°C and grease a muffin tin thoroughly. Wash, pit, and slice the cherries. Coarsely grate the chocolate. Mix the chocolate, almonds, flour, and baking powder in a bowl. In a second bowl, beat the butter, sugar, vanilla sugar, salt, rum, and gradually add the eggs until fluffy. Add the flour mixture and stir in. Mix in the cherries. Pour the batter into the muffin tins and bake for 20-25 minutes.
