Cola muffin

Ingredients for 12 servings:

  • 80 g cream cheese
  • 110 ml cola
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 250 g flour
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • some baking soda
  • Salt
  • 75 g butter
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 50 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 100 g sour cream
  • 100 g powdered sugar
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice
  • 12 pieces of sweets (wine gum cola bottles)

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Preheat the oven to 175°C. Line the muffin tin with paper baking cups. Mix the cream cheese with 1 tablespoon of cola and the powdered sugar and set aside. Mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Heat the butter in a small saucepan. Beat the egg with the sugar, vanilla sugar, butter, remaining cola, and sour cream. Add the flour mixture to the egg mixture and mix until smooth. Spoon one-third of the batter into the cups, place about 1 teaspoon of cream cheese mixture in the center of each, and spread the remaining batter over the top. Bake the muffins for about 25-30 minutes until golden brown and let cool for about 10 minutes. For the glaze, mix the powdered sugar with the juice and spread it over the muffins. Press a soft rubber cola bottle into the still-soft glaze.
