Giant beans in tomato sauce with tahini

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g giant beans or other white beans from the can
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 small can of tomatoes, chopped
  • some Ras el Hanout or Baharat
  • 1 pinch(s) cumin powder
  • some lemon zest
  • 1 pinch(s) of sugar
  • n. B. Salt and pepper, freshly ground
  • 3 tbsp tahini, approx.

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Serve warm or cold

Peel and dice the onion, and sauté in hot oil. Crush the garlic and sauté briefly. Add the chopped tomatoes and spices, mix well, and simmer. Place the beans in a sieve, rinse well, and drain. Add to the hot tomato sauce, bring to a boil, and season to taste. Serve the beans warm, drizzled with tahini, or cold, then drizzle with the tahini just before serving. Once cooled, the beans are perfect for a party, buffet, or as a side dish for the barbecue. They can be prepared 1-2 days in advance.
