Marinated melon

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 melon(s) , (mussel)
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 chili pepper(s), fresh red
  • ½ lemon(s), juice and some grated zest
  • Salt
  • 1 pinch(s) of sugar
  • 5 mint leaves

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 5 minutes

Halve the melon, remove the seeds, cut into eighths, peel, and cut into approximately 3 cm cubes or scoop out balls. Wash the mint, pat dry, and finely slice. Wash and finely chop the chili pepper (with or without seeds, depending on how spicy you like it). Combine olive oil, lemon juice and a little zest, salt, sugar, mint, and chilies. Add to the melon and mix gently. Let stand for at least 30 minutes.
