Strawberry Carpaccio

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 250 g strawberries
  • 1 tbsp Balsamic vinegar traditionale or Crema di Balsamic vinegar
  • some pepper, black and green, from the mill or mortar
  • 2 tbsp pine nuts
  • 1 sprig(s) lemon balm
  • basil

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 20 hours; Total time approx. 20 hours 10 minutes

Delicious as a starter or dessert

Wash the strawberries, dry thoroughly, remove the blossoms, and slice them lengthwise into thin slices. Arrange each in a flower shape on a flat white plate, season lightly with pepper, and drizzle with balsamic vinegar. Roast the pine nuts in a dry pan until golden brown and let cool. Crush with your fingers and sprinkle over the carpaccio. Let it marinate for a few minutes. Garnish with basil leaves or lemon balm (to taste).
