Sweet – spicy hot fruits, topped with cheese

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 6 half peach(s) , from the can
  • 5 half pears, from the can or similarly fresh, ripe
  • 4 cl pear schnapps or pear liqueur
  • some cranberries, from the jar
  • some cayenne pepper
  • 2 packs of blue cheese, Bavaria blu or other – not too soft
  • possibly mint for decoration

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

a light meal of a special kind

Set the oven to grill level 3. Drain and pat the fruit dry, then heat briefly in the microwave on a plate. Place the fruit on a large ovenproof(!) platter, pierce with a fork, and drizzle with the liqueur/schnapps. Slice the cheese and place on top. Bake in the oven until the cheese melts. Sprinkle with plenty of cayenne pepper. Dot the cranberries on top. Garnish with mint leaves. Note: The number and type of fruit can be customized.
