Blackberry jam without gelling sugar

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 kg blackberries
  • 1 kg apples, green, quartered, pitted
  • 1 kg sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • some ginger powder
  • 1 pinch of salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Cut the apples, including the skins, into small pieces, bring to a boil with the blackberries and lemon juice. When the apple pieces are soft, strain everything through a sieve and then simmer with sugar, salt, ginger, and cinnamon for about 1 hour. Then pour into jars.
