Grape – Mint – Jelly

Spread the love

Ingredients for 10 servings:

  • 1 ½ liters red grape juice
  • 500 g gelling sugar, 3:1
  • 20 leaves peppermint, fresh
  • Apples
  • grapes, red

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour

Make a juice from red grapes and a few apples (I use a 5:1 ratio). Drain 1.5 liters of the juice. Mix the juice with the sugar while cold, then bring to a boil and simmer for two minutes while stirring. Then add the leaves to the jelly and simmer for another two minutes. Remove the foam. Rinse the preserving jars with boiling hot water, then fill with the jelly and seal. I also added a small sprig of peppermint to each jar to make it easier to identify the jars later.
