Banana-Citrus Smoothie

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 15 g radishes – green from about 4 radishes
  • 1 large banana(s), ripe
  • ½ large apple, sweet and sour variety
  • 3 slice(s) lemon(s), with peel, approx. 0.5 cm thick
  • 1 tsp linseed oil
  • 150 ml mineral water, still or tap water

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Refreshing smoothie for a good start to the day

Wash the radish greens and lemon thoroughly. Roughly chop all ingredients and blend with water in a blender until you have a creamy smoothie. Enjoy the smoothie immediately or store it in the refrigerator for a maximum of 12-24 hours. Please use only fresh, plump radish leaves; ideally, use unsprayed radishes from your own garden or the greens from organic radishes, as these can generally be assured of being uncontaminated. Radishes are very healthy and contain, among other things, mustard oil, which is responsible for the slightly spicy flavor of radishes and also has antibacterial properties. The radish greens are even said to be more nutrient-dense than the radishes themselves, so they shouldn’t simply be thrown away.
