Pickled pork fillet in herb and cheese sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg pork fillet(s)
  • e.g. salt and pepper
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 125 ml sweet cream
  • 1 cup crème fraîche
  • 350 g herb cheese spread
  • 2 packs of 8 herbs, frozen

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest period approx. 1 day; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 day 45 minutes

Cut the pork fillet into approximately 10 cm wide pieces. Season with salt and pepper to taste and fry in butter for about 3 minutes on each side. Mix all the ingredients for the sauce in a bowl. Dice the onions. Place the cooked fillet in a casserole dish and pour the sauce over it. Cover with aluminum foil and let it cool for 24 hours. Bake in the center of the oven at 180°C (top/bottom heat) for 20-25 minutes. Serve with boiled potatoes, rice or green noodles, and a crisp green salad.
