Macaroni, minced meat, and feta cheese casserole alla Eselchen

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 250 g pasta (macaroni)
  • 200 g minced beef
  • Oil, for frying
  • 1 can of tomatoes, peeled
  • 50 ml milk
  • 50 g cream cheese
  • 200 g sheep’s cheese
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Cook macaroni according to the package instructions until al dente. Brown ground beef in a little oil until crumbly. Sprinkle peeled tomatoes over the pasta, add milk and cream cheese, and bring to a simmer. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Transfer the cooked pasta to a baking dish and pour the tomato and ground beef sauce over the pasta. Crumble the feta cheese over the pasta mixture. Bake in a preheated oven at approximately 180°C for 10 minutes, until the feta cheese has melted slightly.
