Baked green beans with bacon

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 bunch of beans, thick, green
  • 2 packs of breakfast bacon, approx. 100 g each
  • 1 pack of feta cheese, approx. 200 g
  • Pepper, coarsely ground
  • Herbs of Provence
  • possibly savory
  • Salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Blanch the green beans for 3 minutes in salted water, preferably with savory. Then spread a pack of breakfast bacon in a casserole dish. Drain the green beans and add them to the casserole dish. Add another pack of bacon on top. Crumble the feta cheese and sprinkle over the beans and bacon. Season with pepper and Provençal herbs and bake in the oven at 200°C until the cheese starts to brown. This takes about 15 minutes. It’s best to layer the beans and bacon alternately horizontally and vertically; if you have time, you can certainly interweave everything.
