Basic baked apple

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 apples
  • 50 g almonds
  • 60 g raisins
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 package vanilla pudding
  • 1 liter of milk
  • 100 g sugar
  • some maple syrup

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

First, soak the raisins so they can infuse. A cup of water is enough. Now mix one sachet of vanilla powder into one liter of warm milk and add 100 grams of sugar. Don’t let it all cook for too long, as this isn’t meant to be a pudding, but rather a sauce. Now it’s time for the apples! Wash them well and remove the core without damaging the rest of the apple, as this is where the filling will go. Then take the almonds and chop them finely. Drain the raisins and mix them with the almonds and a little maple syrup. This creates a slightly firmer mixture, which you can then press into the apples. Place the stuffed apples in a baking dish and add half of the vanilla sauce. Bake everything in the oven at 180 degrees Celsius for 30 minutes. Once the baked apples are ready, serve them with the rest of the vanilla sauce.
