Ingredients for 5 servings:

  • 500 g spaetzle
  • 2 onions
  • 125 g diced ham
  • 400 ml whipped cream
  • salt and pepper
  • nutmeg
  • 1 pack of Gouda, grated
  • oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Cook the spaetzle in a pot of boiling salted water for 8-10 minutes. Dice the onions and fry them in a little oil in the pan. At the same time, add the diced ham. Stir in 400 ml of heavy cream and bring to a gentle boil. Season with pepper, salt, and nutmeg. Drain the cooked spaetzle, transfer to a baking dish, and mix with the contents of the pan. Sprinkle with Gouda cheese, if desired. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for 10-15 minutes. Serve hot! Enjoy!
