Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 650 ml water
  • 2 tbsp instant coffee
  • 50 ml orange juice
  • 2 tsp orange peel
  • 1 vanilla pod(s)
  • 1 pack of citric acid
  • 2 cl rum
  • 500 g gelling sugar, 1 : 2

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 14 minutes; Total time approx. 19 minutes

Bring the water to a boil with the scraped vanilla seeds and vanilla pod and let it steep for 10 minutes. Then bring back to a boil and dissolve the coffee powder in it. Now add the orange juice, orange zest, and citric acid. Stir in the gelling sugar and boil briskly for 3 or 4 minutes according to the instructions. Remove from the heat and add the rum. Remove the vanilla pod. Pour into glasses while still hot.
