Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 500 g pumpkin(s), juicy, (yellow or red variety)
  • 500 g apples, ripe, juicy
  • 1 lemon(s), unsprayed
  • 1 shot of Calvados
  • 1 kg gelling sugar
  • 1 pinch of cinnamon

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Peel the pumpkin and apples and cut them into very small pieces. Bring to a boil in a tall saucepan with lemon juice and preserving sugar. Simmer for four minutes, then stir in the cinnamon and Calvados. Remove from the heat and immediately pour into screw-top jars rinsed with hot water. Turn them upside down until cool.
