Orange cream

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 300 ml freshly squeezed orange juice (approx. 4 oranges)
  • 60 g sugar
  • 1 packet of pudding powder (vanilla)
  • 200 g whipped cream
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Great success with few ingredients – even with guests

Preheat the oven to 250°C (482°F). Pour the orange juice into a saucepan and bring to a boil. Prepare the custard powder with orange juice (instead of milk as indicated) and sugar according to the package instructions. Then let the cream cool in cold water. Meanwhile, whip the cream until stiff peaks form and carefully fold it into the cooled cream. Pour the cream into 4 prepared ovenproof dishes and dust generously with powdered sugar if desired. Immediately gratinate under the hot grill for about 3 minutes until crispy, staying by the oven if possible for safety reasons. Serve immediately or let cool – this will allow the cream to set again.
