Ingredients for 12 servings:
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup(s) sugar
- 1 bag of baking powder
- 4 apples, (Boskop)
- 1 bar of chocolate, whole milk
- 3 eggs
- Cinnamon
- 8 tbsp rum
- 1 cup(s) oil
- Raisins
- Nuts
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
Mix the flour, sugar, and baking powder. Peel and dice the apples. Grate 1 bar of chocolate and add it to the apples. Go to the pantry and add any leftover raisins, nuts, etc. Fold everything into the flour. Now mix the eggs, a little cinnamon, and 8 tablespoons of rum in a mixing bowl. (Instead of the rum, you can also use Amaretto, Gran Marinière, or whatever you have at home. It’s important to return the bottle to the bar afterward, otherwise the cake won’t turn out well.) Finally, add 1 cup of sunflower oil and carefully mix it into the batter. Grease a 26 cm springform pan and pour in the mixture. Sprinkle with cinnamon and bake in a preheated oven at approximately 180°C for 1/2 hour. Test with a wooden skewer, then transfer to a plate. Serve warm with vanilla sauce or vanilla ice cream!
