Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 3 slices of toast or white bread
  • 150 ml milk
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • Breadcrumbs
  • Fat (e.g. Butaris) for frying
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 3 tbsp jam of your choice
  • 2 tbsp sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

as a delicious dessert

Whisk the milk with the egg, a pinch of salt, and the sugar. Place the toast slices in the egg mixture and let them soften on both sides. Then place the breadcrumbs on a plate and toss the slices in the breadcrumbs. Heat some butter in a pan and fry the bread slices until golden brown on both sides. Mix the cinnamon and sugar together and sprinkle the French toast with it. Finally, spread with jam and serve while still hot.
