Red currant liqueur

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 ml water
  • 600 g sugar
  • 1.2 liters of red currant juice
  • 700 ml schnapps (wheat grain, 32% or 38% by volume)

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Make a syrup from water and sugar – simply boil in a saucepan for about 15 minutes and then let it cool. Mix well with the redcurrant juice and wheat kernels and store in a suitable container in a cool, dark place. Tastes great on vanilla ice cream or on its own. Note: You can make your own redcurrant juice by blending redcurrants with a hand blender until smooth. Alternatively, you can also get the juice by scraping the pulp with a spoon.
