Melted bananas

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 8 bananas
  • 60 g butter
  • 100 g currants
  • 100 g raisins
  • n. B. sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

Soak the raisins in lukewarm water for about 30 minutes. Peel the bananas, split them lengthwise, and then cut each into 3-4 pieces. Melt the butter in a large pan, then add the bananas and let them turn golden brown. Add the currants and drained raisins and cook over low heat, stirring frequently, until a creamy consistency forms. Sweeten to taste. Tip: A festive variation would be to flambé everything. Sprinkle with sugar and sprinkle with a little warmed alcohol, such as rum, curacao, cognac, etc. Then light it, using a match to be on the safe side.
