Chinese-style noodle salad

Spread the love

Ingredients for 10 servings:

  • 1,000 g noodles (soup noodles)
  • 400 g peas, fine, frozen
  • 300 g ham, cooked
  • 400 g cheese (Gouda), sliced
  • 1 pot of natural yogurt, large
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 3 tbsp Miracle Whip
  • some milk
  • ½ small can of spice mix (Chinese spice)
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • 1 pinch(s) of sugar
  • some paprika powder, hot

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Cook the pasta until al dente. Place the frozen peas in a colander and, while the pasta is cooked, drain it hot, then stir once and then rinse in cold water. This will help the peas thaw quickly and keep them crunchy. Once cool, place the pasta and peas in a salad bowl. Cut the cheese and ham into strips and add them. Mix the remaining ingredients to make the salad dressing (it will be plenty, don’t be surprised, but it will absorb completely) and pour it over the ingredients in the bowl. Then leave it in the fridge overnight. The next day, before serving (the salad will have marinated well), add a little milk; this will make the salad nice and creamy. Tastes best fresh and as a side dish to any kind of meat or fish.
