Pork chop with apples

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 pork chops
  • salt and pepper
  • 4 cl schnapps (apple schnapps)
  • 4 apples, sour
  • 100 ml cider (or apple juice)
  • 4 tbsp double cream
  • sugar, brown

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

also tastes good with apricots or plums

Season the lightly pounded cutlets with salt and pepper, fry for about 4 minutes on each side, pour over the hot apple schnapps and flambé, remove from the pan and keep warm. Cut the peeled apples into wedges, pour over the cider (or apple juice) in the pan juices, stir in the double cream, add the apple slices, and cook in the liquid. Season with brown sugar to taste. Serve with the cutlets and hash browns.
