Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • ¼ liter of milk
  • 150 g clarified butter
  • 500 g flour
  • 100 g candied lemon
  • 150 g raisins
  • 2 cl rum
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 bag of lemon peel
  • some bitter almond flavor
  • 100 g butter
  • 80 g powdered sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest period approx. 1 day; Total time approx. 1 day 30 minutes

Soak the raisins in the rum and let it steep for 24 hours. Heat the milk and melt the clarified butter in it. Combine all dry ingredients in a large, sealable bowl and shake well. Add the raisins and bitter almond flavoring, along with the milk and dissolved clarified butter, and mix well. Pour the dough into a Stollen baking pan and bake at 180°C for about 45 minutes. After 10 minutes of baking, score the Stollen about 0.5 cm deep. Once cooled, brush the Stollen with melted butter and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
