Apple and curd waffles

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 175 g butter
  • 175 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • Lemon(s) – peel, grated
  • 125 g quark
  • 250 g flour
  • 1 ½ tsp baking powder
  • 300 g apples
  • 50 g raisins

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Cream the butter with sugar and vanilla sugar until fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the salt, grated lemon zest, and the quark. Stir the flour, baking powder, and 6 tablespoons of water into the batter. Dice the peeled apples and fold them into the batter along with the raisins. Pour 3 tablespoons of batter into a greased waffle iron and bake until golden brown.
