Tomato cream sauce with minced meat

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 200 g minced meat, mixed
  • 1 pack of tomatoes, pureed, approx. 500 g
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • some margarine, for frying
  • 1 ball of mozzarella
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 pinch(s) of cayenne pepper
  • 1 pinch(s) basil, dried
  • 300 g pasta (e.g. linguine, spaghetti, spirelli)
  • possibly basil leaves

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Meanwhile, brown the ground beef in a pan with margarine. Pour the passata and cream into a large measuring jug, then add a tablespoon of tomato paste and season to taste with salt, pepper, cayenne pepper, and the dried basil. Then stir everything together. When the ground beef is cooked, pour the sauce over the beef and stir through. Let it simmer for a while, stirring occasionally. Check the pasta occasionally. When the pasta is al dente, drain. Serve everything and garnish with basil leaves, if desired.
