  • 2 bay leaves

  • 3 sage leaves
  • ½ tsp green tea
  • 600 ml schnapps (grain)
  • 280 g sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Pierce the orange several times with a fork. Peel the zest from the lime (or lemon). Empty all ingredients except the sugar into a wide-mouthed bottle (the orange must remain whole) and pour over the grain. Let the infusion steep in a cool place (like a cellar) for 4-5 weeks. Then pour through a sieve. Dissolve the sugar in 350ml of heated water and let the syrup cool. Mix the cooled sugar syrup and the herbal infusion; let it steep for 3 weeks. Then gradually pour the herbal liqueur through a fine cheesecloth or a filter. Bottle the finished herbal liqueur and cork it. An ideal digestive aid.
