Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2 liters of cherry juice
  • 1 vanilla pod(s), pulp (or 1 small bottle of vanilla flavoring)
  • 1 dash of lemon juice
  • 500 g brown sugar
  • 1 bottle of schnapps (corn)
  • 1 bottle of Amaretto

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Combine cherry juice, vanilla pulp (or vanilla flavoring), lemon juice, and sugar in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil once so the sugar dissolves. Let it cool completely and then mix with the corn schnapps and Amaretto. Pour into prepared bottles. Makes about 4 bottles and can be consumed immediately. The liqueur has a very long shelf life and tastes best chilled, neat or mixed with a drink. The specified time is approximate and does not include cooling time.
