Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 600 g pumpkin flesh
  • 10 tbsp water, cold
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 100 g margarine
  • 800 g flour
  • 2 packets of yeast (dry yeast)
  • 10 tbsp milk
  • 150 g sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

Cut the pumpkin flesh into cubes. Cook in a saucepan with 10 tablespoons of water for about 15 minutes until soft. Blend finely with salt and margarine. Let cool slightly in a water bath. Combine the flour and yeast in a mixing bowl and stir. Stir in the still-warm puree, milk, and sugar and whisk to combine. Cover the dough and let rise for 45 minutes. Then pour into a large loaf pan and let rise for another 10 minutes. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for 20 minutes, then for another 90-100 minutes at 150°C.
