Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 liter red wine, according to taste and preference
  • 8 carnations
  • 2 stalk(s) cinnamon
  • 2 orange(s), squeezed
  • 1 star anise
  • 20 ml Amaretto
  • 7 tbsp sugar

Pour the red wine into a saucepan and heat gently. Add the cloves, cinnamon sticks, star anise, and the juice of the squeezed oranges and heat together (do not boil!). Let it steep for about 10 to 15 minutes over low heat, stirring occasionally. Then strain out the spices and stir in the Amaretto and sugar. Done!
