Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 apple, a red-skinned one
- 2 tbsp sugar, brown
- 1 tbsp almond flakes
- 1 jar sauerkraut, approx. 400-500 ml, fully cooked
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
served with mashed potatoes and bratwurst
Quarter the apple, core it, and cut it into thin slices. Leave the skin on. Heat the sugar, add the apple slices and almonds, and caramelize. Add the sauerkraut and heat for up to 2 minutes. Serve with bratwurst and mashed potatoes.
