Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour
Baby Led Weaning (BLW), without sugar, from approx. 8 months
Heat the milk in a saucepan. Add the vanilla. Grate the carrot and apple and add to the milk. Bring everything to a boil and simmer. For babies who are already comfortable with solid food, it is sufficient to cook the carrots and apple for about 5 minutes. Otherwise, cook everything over low heat for about 10 minutes until soft. Add the nuts and semolina and mix everything well. Let the porridge swell for 5 minutes over medium heat, stirring constantly, then season with grated orange peel. Cool the porridge on a plate or spread it on baking paper. The porridge is very thick even when warm. This makes it easy for the baby to eat it with their hands and it also sticks well to a spoon if they want to feed themselves. Once cooled, the porridge is firm enough to cut into manageable strips, for example, for on the go. This quantity is enough for breakfast for two adults and one baby.
