Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 4 apples, e.g. Golden Delicious
- 2 pears e.g. Williams Christ
- 90 ml water
- 1 tsp rapeseed oil or other oil
- e.g. cereal flakes (spelt, oat or millet flakes)
- e.g. natural yogurt, at least 3.5% fat or Greek yogurt
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
e.g. as fruit puree or later as fruit-cereal puree
Peel the apples, chop them into small pieces, and remove the cores. Add the apples to the pot with the water, bring to a boil, and simmer for about 5 minutes until soft. Meanwhile, peel the pears, chop them into small pieces, and core them. Add the pears to the pot with the apples and sauté for about 1 minute. Puree everything. The porridge can be frozen or served fresh. Please only add the oil after heating, if the porridge was frozen. If desired, you can later add spelt flakes, for example. Boil 10-20 g of flakes in 90 ml of water, then let them swell for 5 minutes and add them to the porridge. Instead of the flakes, you can also add 1-2 teaspoons of yogurt to the porridge. The fruit varieties described are the ones we found to work best, but you can also try other types of apples or pears. The recipe is designed for about 9 ice cube trays, which should yield about 4 servings of 125 g.
