Spaghetti with tomato and apple sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500g spaghetti
  • 2 can/n tomatoes, pureed
  • 2 m.-large apples, sweet, e.g. Braeburn
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 bunch rosemary
  • 1 bunch of basil
  • Tomato paste
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • Sugar
  • olive oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Peel and finely dice the apples. Sauté them with the garlic in olive oil. Finely chop the rosemary and basil and add them to the pan along with the passata and a little tomato paste. Bring to a boil until the apple pieces are tender. Season the sauce with salt and pepper and add sugar to reduce the acidity of the tomatoes. Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti and serve both together.
