Sweet semolina pancakes

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 ml milk
  • 150 g soft wheat semolina
  • 3 packets of vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 200 g quark
  • n. B. cinnamon sugar, optional

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Bring the milk to a boil, add the semolina, sugar, and salt, and bring back to a boil while stirring. Then set aside and let it sit for 5 minutes to thicken. Once the semolina mixture has cooled slightly, stir in the quark and form pancakes with your hands (approx. 6-7 cm in diameter). Fry them in a pan with a little fat until golden brown on both sides. If desired, sprinkle the pancakes with cinnamon sugar. Apple compote or hot cherries go perfectly with this.
