Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 600 g apples, sour
  • 300 ml red wine
  • 100 ml orange juice, freshly squeezed
  • 2 cloves
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 500 g gelling sugar, 2:1
  • 2 tbsp almond(s), flakes
  • 2 tbsp raisins

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Pour red wine into a large pot and stir in all ingredients, except the apples. Let it steep overnight, ideally. Peel, core, and dice the apples. Weigh out 500g of it, add it to the steeped mixture, and bring to a boil. Boil gently for 4 minutes, skim off any foam, pour into twist-off jars, seal, and let stand upside down for 15 minutes.
