Garlic mayonnaise dip
Whisk the egg yolk with salt, pepper, and lemon juice. While stirring constantly, add the oil, first drop by drop, then in a thin stream, until the mayonnaise thickens. Whether you need all of the oil depends on the size of the egg yolk and the amount of lemon juice. The mayonnaise should no longer be runny! Crush the garlic cloves and stir in. The amount of garlic cloves also depends on the intensity of the garlic. It’s best to start with a little and then increase it to your taste. Season with salt and pepper, ideally with some bread. In our household, the mayonnaise is usually spread on fresh wheat bread, but it also goes well with grilled vegetables or meat. The dip can be kept cold for up to a week.
