Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 250 g pasta (e.g. short ribbon pasta)
- 1 onion(s)
- 1 pack of cream
- 1 pack of cheese (Emmental), grated
- 1 pack of salmon
- Vegetable broth, liquid
- salt and pepper
- olive oil
- Paprika powder, hot
- Cayenne pepper
- possibly garlic
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
Preheat oven to 200°C (top/bottom heat). Cook pasta in salted water according to package instructions until al dente and drain well. Dice onion and sauté in a little olive oil until translucent. Add garlic, if desired. Then deglaze with cream and vegetable stock and season to taste with the spices (salt, pepper, paprika, and cayenne pepper). Cut salmon into bite-sized pieces. In the empty pasta pot, mix the pasta with the onion and cream sauce, the salmon, and about a third of the grated cheese. Transfer to an ungreased baking dish. Place in the oven for about 10 minutes. Sprinkle with the remaining cheese and bake for about another 10 minutes (if you can stand it that long). As an alternative to salmon, you can also make this pasta casserole with crab or vegetables (e.g. fresh mushrooms, spinach, chard) or even just on its own, with just cream sauce.
