Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 150 g butter
- 200 g powdered sugar, 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 5 eggs
- 150 g Flour, 1/2 pack of baking powder
- 80 g walnuts, ground
- ½ liter whipped cream
- 3 tbsp Amaretto
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar, for sprinkling
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 170 g walnuts
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
Beat butter, 100g icing sugar, and vanilla sugar until very creamy, then gradually add egg yolks. Beat egg whites until stiff, then drizzle in the remaining icing sugar and fold into the butter and egg mixture. Fold in the flour and nuts mixed with baking powder. Bake in a greased and floured 24-inch cake tin in a preheated oven at 175°C for about 35-40 minutes. Cool. Cut in half, fill, and spread the tops with icing sugar. Sprinkle with icing sugar and arrange nuts on top. Filling: Beat the whipped cream with the vanilla sugar until stiff, then fold in the coarsely chopped walnuts (leave a few whole nuts for the top) along with the Amaretto. Chill.
